  PD's Official FILM CLUB thread
Posted by: Lord - 03-06-2018, 12:27 AM - Forum: Misc. - Replies (30)

Basically someone picks a film to watch (preferably not too mainstream, one that we can discover together) and then we have a week to watch it and discuss it - then it's someone else's turn to pick a new one and so on and so on. Could be pretty cool. I'd probably kick things off with a low-budget horror film.

What the actual fuck when I actually think about it.

Why are there so few active posters on this forum? Why did all of our online friends from forums prior leave us in the dust? Surely of all places on the internet this would have made the most sense to post a monthly update on. I can understand leaving other Pokemon forums behind on account of the fact that the target demographic is 14 years old but we grew up with one another after all. You'd think that would count for something.

I go to work come back and sleep. I can no longer stay up late. I use to be able to watch movies and play video games late into the night, now if I out a movie on I'm asleep and I feel to tired to play video games. Goddamn this cursed world

  Some thoughts.
Posted by: Lord - 03-03-2018, 07:48 PM - Forum: Misc. - Replies (13)

Lately my monomania type personality has become obsessed with the concept of conscientiousness and its indicative levels of life success, so I'm trying to do things to increase my own work ethic and general orderliness, such as going to sleep at a regular hour and waking up at the same time every morning, scheduling tomorrow on an hour-by-hour basis and cooking healthy meals for tomorrow the day before. The idea is that repeated micro-habits should eventually become routine.

- I'm going to start going back to the gym as of this week. I miss being ridiculously fit and in good good shape. Have my protein powder ready. Also I feel I generally need to be fitter if I want to retain my intelligence levels/excel in the ways I want to. I also believe that going to the gym will increase my industriousness and conscientiousness exponentially.

- I'm also going to eat a fat and protein-heavy breakfast as soon as possible after I wake up (no simple carbohydrates, no sugars, as they are digested too rapidly, and produce a blood-sugar spike and rapid dip) in order to maximise efficiency.

Any recommendations for increasing conscientiousness, PD? Might as well share with us your daily routines while you're at it.

Exclamation The internet was a mistake

I got banned on a scifi forum for not posting in response to someone's quote.

I have become convinced that the internet is just terrible and is the downfall of all that is good in the world.

Big Grin Hi random people.

Once upon a time, I was an occasional poster on Seaking Forums. Before that, I was on the Cave of Dragonflies, back when a certain Khaos the Awesome Guy was posting. :V

Then I disappeared for a while. I'm registered on a lot of forums but haven't had a lot of time to devote to them. It's been so long since I was on Seaking, in fact, that I'm pretty sure I don't remember anyone from there, just that I participated at some point. :p But I'm hoping I can be more active online from here on out.

Regardless, hello!
